We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, organisation, authority or intended purchasing context.

All materials supplied by PRIME RESEARCH SUPPLY are intended exclusively for legitimate laboratory research and analytical work within an appropriate controlled professional environment.
Materials are not supplied for:
- Human consumption
- Personal use
- Veterinary use
- Diagnosis
- Treatment
- Medical procedures
- Clinical administration
- Cosmetic administration
- Household use
- Any unlawful or inappropriate application
We do not provide medical advice, dosage information, administration instructions or personal-use guidance.
By placing an order, you confirm that the materials will be used only for legitimate laboratory research or analytical work.
5. Purchaser responsibility
The purchaser is responsible for:
- Confirming that the selected material is appropriate for the intended laboratory work
- Reviewing the complete product listing before ordering
- Reviewing the supplied strength, format and quantity
- Reviewing any available product-specific documentation
- Ensuring the order is lawful
- Ensuring the purchaser is authorised to obtain the materials
- Following appropriate storage, handling and disposal procedures
- Complying with all rules applicable to the purchaser’s organisation and research activities
Acceptance of an order does not represent approval of a particular research project, process, protocol or intended result.
6. Refusal and cancellation of orders
We may refuse, suspend or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- A product is unavailable
- Payment cannot be authorised
- Information supplied appears incomplete or inaccurate
- We cannot verify the purchaser or organisation
- We reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised payment activity
- We reasonably suspect an unlawful, unsafe or prohibited intended use
- The order conflicts with our research-use restrictions
- A pricing, description or technical error has occurred
- Delivery cannot be completed to the address provided
- We are legally or operationally unable to complete the order
Where we cancel an order before supply, any amount paid for the cancelled goods will be refunded using the original payment method.
We will not cancel consumer contracts arbitrarily or in a way that removes statutory rights.
7. Product information
We take reasonable care to present material information clearly and accurately.
Product listings may include:
- Product name
- Supplied strength
- Format
- Quantity
- SKU
- Packaging information
- Available analytical documentation
- Research-use restrictions
You must review the complete listing before ordering.
Images are provided for identification and presentation purposes. Packaging, labels and presentation may change, provided that the supplied goods remain materially consistent with the accepted order and product description.
Minor differences in packaging colour, layout or presentation do not necessarily mean that the goods are incorrect.
Nothing in the listing should be interpreted as medical, diagnostic, therapeutic or personal-use information.
8. Analytical documentation
Available product-specific or batch-specific analytical documentation may be published on the website where listed.
Documentation availability may differ between:
- Products
- Strengths
- Formats
- Batches
- Dates of supply
You are responsible for confirming that any document reviewed relates to the correct product, strength, format or batch.
Published documentation does not:
- Change the research-use-only status of a material
- Authorise human or veterinary use
- Guarantee suitability for a particular research protocol
- Guarantee a particular research result
- Replace appropriate laboratory assessment
- Replace the purchaser’s own compliance obligations
Documentation may be corrected, replaced or updated where necessary.
9. Prices
Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise.
Applicable taxes, delivery charges and other mandatory charges will be shown before the order is submitted.
We may change prices at any time, but a price change will not normally affect an order that has already been accepted.
10. Pricing and listing errors
Despite reasonable care, a product may occasionally be listed with an incorrect price, description, availability status or specification.
Where an obvious error is identified before acceptance, we may:
- Contact you for instructions
- Correct the information
- Reject the order
- Cancel the affected part of the order
Where payment has already been taken for an order that we cannot accept, the relevant amount will be refunded.
We will not knowingly rely on a pricing error to charge a customer more than the accepted order price without the customer’s agreement.
11. Placing an order
The website allows you to review and correct order information before submitting payment.
You are responsible for checking:
- The product
- The supplied strength
- The format
- The quantity
- The delivery address
- The email address
- The billing information
- The total amount payable
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected goods under these terms.
12. Order acknowledgement and acceptance
An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.
A contract is formed when we:
- Send a dispatch confirmation, or
- Dispatch the goods
whichever occurs first.
Where an order is dispatched in separate parts, acceptance may occur separately for the goods included in each dispatch.
We may contact you before acceptance where further information or verification is required.
13. Payment
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
You confirm that:
- You are authorised to use the selected payment method
- The payment information supplied is accurate
- Sufficient funds or credit are available
- The payment is not connected with fraud or unauthorised activity
Orders may be delayed or rejected where payment is pending, declined, reversed, disputed or subject to additional verification.
We are not responsible for fees independently charged by your bank, payment provider or card issuer.
14. Security checks
Orders may be subject to payment, identity, address or fraud-prevention checks.
We may request additional information before accepting or dispatching an order.
Failure to provide information reasonably requested may result in the order being delayed or cancelled.
Security checks are intended to protect customers, payment account holders and PRIME RESEARCH SUPPLY.
15. Availability
All orders are subject to availability.
Adding a product to a basket does not reserve stock.
Where an item becomes unavailable after an order is submitted, we may:
- Contact you
- Offer an appropriate alternative where available
- Dispatch the remaining items
- Cancel the unavailable item
- Refund the amount paid for the unavailable item
We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.
16. Delivery territory
PRIME RESEARCH SUPPLY is a UK-focused online store.
Orders are accepted for delivery only to locations supported by the delivery options available at checkout.
We do not guarantee delivery to every postcode, building, institution, restricted site or location.
Additional delivery information may be requested where an address is incomplete, restricted or difficult to access.
17. Delivery information
Available delivery methods, costs and estimates are shown during checkout or in the Shipping Policy.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed delivery appointments unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delivery may be affected by:
- Address verification
- Payment verification
- Stock availability
- Delivery-provider disruption
- Severe weather
- Public holidays
- Access restrictions
- Events outside our reasonable control
Where no different delivery period has been agreed, consumer orders will be handled in accordance with applicable UK distance-selling requirements.
18. Delivery address
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Contact us immediately if an address needs to be corrected.
We cannot guarantee that changes can be made once an order has entered processing or dispatch.
We are not responsible for avoidable delay, loss or additional cost caused by incorrect or incomplete address information supplied by the customer, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
19. Delivery completion
Delivery is normally completed when the goods are delivered to:
- The address supplied with the order
- A person present at that address
- A safe place authorised by the customer
- A nominated collection location
- Another location authorised through the delivery provider
Where a customer authorises a safe place, neighbour, collection point or alternative delivery arrangement, responsibility may pass when delivery is completed in accordance with those instructions.
20. Risk and ownership
For consumers, risk in the goods passes when the goods come into the physical possession of the consumer or a person identified by the consumer, other than the delivery provider acting on our behalf.
For business customers, risk normally passes when the goods are delivered to the stated delivery address or to a delivery provider nominated by the business customer.
Ownership of goods does not pass until full cleared payment has been received.
21. Failed, refused and unclaimed deliveries
Refusing delivery or failing to collect a parcel does not automatically cancel an order.
Where a parcel is returned because it was:
- Refused
- Unclaimed
- Not collected
- Incorrectly addressed by the customer
- Undeliverable due to incomplete information
- Not accepted at the delivery location
we will review the parcel before deciding whether it can be resent or refunded.
Reasonable delivery, return and redelivery costs may be charged or deducted where legally permitted and where the failed delivery was not caused by us.
22. Inspection after delivery
You should inspect the delivery promptly.
Check:
- The product name
- The supplied strength
- The quantity
- The product label
- The packaging
- The security seal
- The delivery condition
Do not open, use, puncture, transfer, sample, reconstitute or dispose of a product that appears incorrect or damaged.
Contact us promptly with the order number and clear photographs where appropriate.
A request to report visible damage promptly does not remove any statutory rights.
23. Storage and handling
After delivery, the customer is responsible for appropriate storage, handling, access control and disposal.
Materials must be handled only by suitably informed and authorised persons within an appropriate laboratory or analytical environment.
We are not responsible for deterioration, contamination or damage caused after delivery by:
- Improper storage
- Incorrect temperature conditions
- Exposure to moisture, heat or light
- Unauthorised opening
- Improper handling
- Contamination
- Transfer between containers
- Failure to follow available product information
- Use outside an appropriate controlled research environment
This section does not exclude liability where exclusion would be unlawful.
24. Cancellation and returns
Cancellation, return, refund and replacement requests are governed by our Returns, Cancellations and Refunds Policy.
Eligible consumers purchasing online normally have statutory cancellation rights, subject to applicable exceptions.
Some sealed goods may become unsuitable for return once opened or unsealed. Where the legal sealed-goods exception applies, cancellation rights may be lost after the relevant seal has been broken.
This restriction does not remove rights relating to goods that are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed.
Do not return goods until return instructions have been issued.
25. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
Goods must comply with applicable statutory requirements.
Contact us promptly if goods are:
- Faulty
- Damaged
- Incorrect
- Incomplete
- Misdescribed
- Materially different from the accepted order
We may request:
- The order number
- Photographs
- Packaging information
- Label information
- Batch information
- A description of the issue
- Return of the affected goods
Available remedies will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights relating to faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods.
26. Business and trade account orders
Business customers confirm that they are purchasing for purposes connected with their trade, organisation, profession or research activities.
Consumer cancellation rights do not automatically apply to business purchases.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Business orders cannot be cancelled after acceptance merely because requirements change
- Business returns require prior approval
- Goods must remain unopened, sealed, unused and suitable for resale
- The business customer is responsible for return shipping unless the goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied
Trade account approval may be suspended or withdrawn where:
- Information supplied is inaccurate
- Payment obligations are not met
- Account access is misused
- Orders conflict with the research-use framework
- There are reasonable legal, security or compliance concerns
27. Customer accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You must:
- Provide accurate account information
- Keep information reasonably current
- Prevent unauthorised access
- Notify us of suspected account misuse
- Avoid sharing account credentials with unauthorised persons
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
We may suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary to protect the customer, the website or the business.
28. Website availability
We aim to keep the website available and functioning correctly but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Access may be restricted for:
- Maintenance
- Security updates
- Technical problems
- Hosting disruption
- Legal requirements
- Events outside our reasonable control
We may update, suspend or withdraw parts of the website where reasonably necessary.
This does not affect existing accepted orders.
29. Acceptable website use
You must not:
- Use the website unlawfully
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access
- Interfere with website security
- Introduce viruses or malicious code
- Use automated systems to overload the website
- Extract or reproduce substantial website content without permission
- Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information
- Impersonate another person or organisation
- Attempt to circumvent purchasing restrictions
- Use the website to facilitate prohibited use of supplied materials
We may restrict access where misuse is reasonably suspected.
30. Intellectual property
Website content, including text, layout, branding, logos, graphics, product presentation and original written materials, is owned by or licensed to PRIME RESEARCH SUPPLY.
You may view and print pages for your own legitimate purchasing, record-keeping or internal research-administration purposes.
You must not, without prior written permission:
- Reproduce substantial website content
- Republish website content
- Use our branding commercially
- Create misleading copies of our product listings
- Remove ownership notices
- Suggest an unauthorised association with PRIME RESEARCH SUPPLY
Nothing in these terms transfers intellectual-property ownership to the customer.
31. Third-party services and links
The website may use or link to third-party services, including:
- Payment providers
- Delivery providers
- Tracking services
- Customer-account services
- External analytical documents
Third-party services may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party websites that we do not own or control, although this does not affect responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
A link does not automatically mean that we endorse every statement, service or product available through the external website.
32. Marketing statements and research outcomes
Nothing on the website guarantees:
- A particular research result
- Suitability for an undisclosed purpose
- Compatibility with every research process
- A particular analytical outcome
- Approval by a customer’s organisation
- Compliance with procedures unknown to us
Customers must make their own professional assessment of suitability.
Where we have expressly agreed in writing that a product is required for a particular stated purpose, applicable legal rights remain unaffected.
33. Limitation of liability for consumers
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of statutory rights relating to goods
- Any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.
We are not responsible for business losses suffered by a consumer using goods for commercial or professional purposes.
34. Limitation of liability for business customers
This section applies only to business customers.
Nothing excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Defective products where liability cannot legally be excluded
- Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited
Subject to those exceptions, we will not be liable for:
- Loss of profit
- Loss of revenue
- Loss of business
- Loss of contracts
- Loss of anticipated savings
- Loss of research opportunity
- Loss of goodwill
- Indirect or consequential loss
Subject to applicable law and the requirement that contractual limitations be reasonable, our total aggregate liability relating to an affected order will not exceed the amount paid for that order.
35. Misuse of materials
PRIME RESEARCH SUPPLY is not responsible for loss or damage caused by:
- Human consumption
- Personal use
- Veterinary use
- Diagnosis or treatment
- Unlawful use
- Use outside an appropriate laboratory environment
- Improper storage
- Improper handling
- Contamination after delivery
- Failure to follow applicable professional procedures
- Use by an unauthorised or unqualified person
This section does not exclude any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
36. Events outside reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather
- Natural disasters
- Fire
- Flood
- Epidemic or public-health restrictions
- Industrial action
- Transport disruption
- Delivery-network failure
- Utility failure
- Telecommunications failure
- Government action
- Import or supply interruption
- Cybersecurity incidents not caused by our failure to use reasonable care
- Failure of third-party infrastructure
We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the disruption and resume performance where possible.
Where a delay becomes substantial, applicable cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.
37. Privacy and personal information
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information may be used where necessary to:
- Process orders
- Take payment
- Arrange delivery
- Provide customer support
- Prevent fraud
- Verify account or organisation information
- Comply with legal obligations
- Manage returns and refunds
Please review the Privacy Policy before submitting personal information.
38. Communications
We may contact you using the information supplied with your order or account.
Order-related communications may include:
- Order acknowledgements
- Payment information
- Verification requests
- Dispatch information
- Delivery updates
- Product or availability issues
- Return or refund information
- Important contractual notices
You are responsible for providing a functioning email address and checking order communications.
39. Complaints
Complaints should be sent to:
Sales@primeresearchsupply.co.uk
Include:
- Your name
- Your order number
- The email address used when ordering
- A clear description of the complaint
- The outcome you are requesting
- Supporting information where relevant
We will review complaints fairly and may request additional information before providing a final response.
Nothing in this section prevents a customer from using any legal remedy available to them.
40. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect:
- Changes in law
- Changes to the website
- Changes to our services
- Security requirements
- Operational changes
- Improvements in clarity
The terms applying to an order will normally be those displayed when the order was submitted.
Changes will not normally alter an already accepted order unless:
- The customer agrees
- The change benefits the customer
- The change is required by law
41. Transfer of rights
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under an order without our prior written agreement.
We may transfer our rights or obligations where this does not reduce consumer protections or materially disadvantage the customer.
42. Waiver
If either party does not immediately enforce a right under these terms, that does not mean the right has been waived.
A waiver is effective only for the specific matter for which it was given.
43. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be removed or limited only to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
44. Third-party rights
Unless expressly stated otherwise, a person who is not a party to an order has no right to enforce its terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
This does not affect any separate right available under law.
45. Entire agreement for business customers
For business customers, these terms, the accepted order, the relevant product listing and any terms expressly agreed in writing form the entire agreement relating to the order.
The business customer confirms that it has not relied on a statement that is not included in those documents.
Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
This section does not restrict consumer rights.
46. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and orders placed through the website are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland retain any mandatory protections available under the law applying where they live and may bring proceedings in courts available to them under applicable consumer law.
Business customers agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or an order.
47. Statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects statutory rights available under applicable UK law.
Where any provision conflicts with a right that cannot legally be excluded, the statutory right will apply.
